Vikas Dilawari Architects takes pride in introducing ourselves as a firm of dedicated professionals offering consultancy in the field of Architecture, Conservation, Heritage Management, Urban Design and Interior Design for past 30 years.
The firm has undertaken several successful projects and studies for Private and Corporate Clients, Government and Semi Government and Religious Trusts all over India. Many of our executed projects have received National and International Awards. Numerous projects have received the UNESCO ASIA PACIFIC Awards.
We associate with leading services (MEP), structural and landscape consultants on several prestigious projects.
The firm has successfully worked on projects of different types ranging from historic homes, palaces, residential buildings, educational buildings (Schools and Colleges), hostels, churches, temples, dharamsalas, museum, banks, office buildings, lecture halls, fountains and hospitals. Several of our projects have received national and international recognitions.

The Architect

Vikas Dilawari is a practicing conservation Architect with nearly 3 decades of experience in the field of Conservation. He has done his double Masters in Conservation from School of Planning and Architecture (New Delhi) and from the University of York (with a distinction). He was the Head of Department of Conservation Department at Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture (KRVIA), Mumbai from its inception in 2007 till Aug 2014.  

 His practice has successfully executed several conservation projects (about 55) ranging from prime landmarks to unloved buildings of Mumbai. A total of 18 of his projects have won the UNESCO ASIA PACIFIC Awards for Cultural Preservation in South East Asia. He was also instrumental with INTACH Mumbai Chapter to nominate CSMT or erstwhile VT station as a World Heritage Site (WHS) in 2004. . 

 His recent project includes the restoration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai (CSMVS) for its Centenary year, the Flora Fountain, a grade I building of Mumbai for the MCGM where not only the three tiered fountain has been restored but also its water engineering and enhancement of the surrounding landscape.

Architect Dilawari has lectured and written extensively on the subject of Conservation, nationally and internationally.
